Unique Melodies
Empowering Through Music
Meet Our Founder
Noah A. Alter
Hi, My name is Noah Alter and when I was in second grade, I was diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Going through school with ADHD has been a struggle. Not being able to focus some days, always having the need to fidget, and even just the lack of determination. One way that I learned to cope with ADHD is music. Everyday when I get home from school, I go into my basement and play the drums, guitar, bass, and whatever else catches my eye that day. Music is my way of therapy. Whenever I’m overstimulated, angry, or just feeling “fidgety”- Music is my way of fixing it.
Meet Our Secretary
Hallie S. Alter
Hi! My name is Hallie Alter, and I have been volunteering with individuals with special needs for 6 years. I started in 6th grade, and have grown up alongside my friends there. After building bonds over our weekly events, I have learned that many of them enjoy expressing their emotions through music. Watching my brother with ADHD view music as therapeutic and want to start Unique Melodies, I knew I wanted to join him. Although I am not a musician, I get to help with the behind the scenes set-up and fundraising.
